Engineered Desire (Aphrodite)|80x60cm|Oil on canvas

Attraction is not negotiable.

Engineered Desire is about that force which takes hold before we can rationally explain it. A person, an object, an idea – something draws us in, even if we do not yet know why.

We like to tell ourselves that our decisions are rational. But desire follows a different logic. It generates attention, alters behavior, and can become stronger than the rules we have set for ourselves.

Aphrodite therefore stands for more than just beauty. She stands for the power to trigger something in another person.

True attraction does not ask to be noticed.

It emerges – and suddenly everything else becomes less important.

Every sold sketch results in an original work.
